Dinner for Two? Tonights Special: You

Candles gently illuminate the room, mixing a hint of vanilla with the scent of jasmine perfume. In the distance, a guitar is slowly strummed. Chocolate-covered strawberries lie enticingly on a porcelain plate.
Except, this isn't desert after a meal at an elegant restaurant. It's only the appetizer—in your bedroom.
Although humorist Adrienne Gusoff notes, "Any woman who thinks the way to a man's heart is through his stomach is aiming about 10 inches too high," the connection between food and sex is undeniable. According to the Social Issues Research Centre, "They are physically linked in the limbic system of the brain, which controls emotional activity generally. It is not surprising that we not only link them but do so emotionally."
What you put into your mouth is thus related to, well, what you put into your mouth and other openings. Eating large quantities of chocolate and ice-cream, for example, releases the same "happy" hormones—endorphins—as having sex. Scents like cinnamon produce arousal. And, in modern society, the romantic dinner date is a basic prelude for more romance.
Knowing this, you can exploit the food/sex relationship between while exploring your own! Increase the level of intimacy and communication between yourself and your partner. Share sultry fantasies, but be accommodating. Dress up in sultry, sexy costumes—but set comfortable limits. And if you are uncomfortable vocalizing—or just want a new approach—write it down. Make a sex menu.
First, pick a cuisine and a name for your "restaurant". If you love sushi, go with a Japanese theme. Call it "Rolling Raw." "Voulez-vous Coucher Avec Moi?" says it all for the French-food lover. And avid rice-and-beans extraordinariness can blend dining and lovemaking at "Nuestra Casa de Amor."
Next, make a list of appetizers. These foreplay options set the mood. Spice it up with scented candles, sensual oils, and flower leaves. Include a variety of get-the-mood, sexy CDs. And proper wardrobe is a must. While fishnets and heels can go a long way, intimate lingerie creates a truly drool-worthy feast. In the mood for hot Latin flavor? Wear the Spanish Spell Gown. Can't resist a bottle of wine and an authentic Italian dish? Put on the Venice Corset. Vive le France? Find out why Paris is so romantic with the Bonheur de Femme Cami-Garter. Now imagine Marvin Gaye crooning while rose leaves litter the bed, and you in a La Femme en Rouge Long Gown. He'll be salivating for the main course.
On to the entree. You can divide up the main action any way you want. Try traditionally—Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Or, try by sex type: Quickie, Slow-Sexy-Sensual, Rough-N-Ready. Include any—and as many—ingredients as you want. Research various positions, such as doggie-style and reverse cowgirl, etc. Try accessories like handcuffs and blindfold. Switch up the settings. Don’t underestimate the appeal of a lacy chemise or babydoll. And be sure to use enticing titles and descriptions—writing dirty does as much as talking dirty. For example:
1. "The Succulent Mango Special:" A deliciously wet combination of fresh fruit and juicy, dripping bodies. Sweet torture of sucking toes, licking thighs, and nibbling slices of fruit from you partner's chest. Hours of pleasure and passion! Optional: shower/bath setting.
2. "Apple Pie a La Mode:" This classic is sure to make you come home. A rub-down massage and nipples covered in whipped cream precede a session of 69. Moan on top of each other in missionary, before collapsing in your lover's arms. Thong/bra set highly recommended.
Finish off with desert options. These sweet indulgences will wrap up your passionate frolicking. Choose cuddling if you have hours to linger in each others arms. If not, perhaps a passionate French-kiss will suffice. Or, why not try another entree, but with a portion half the size? Don't worry about calories, love-making only burns them.
Have fun with it. Try different menus for weekends, lunch and dinner specials, and combination plates. If the "Weekday Morning Screw" is available only before 9 am because you have to work, but you are willing to accommodate your hungry customer later, make an exception. But, if you are uncomfortable with certain options- such as the "Doggie Style Dinner" be sure to let your partner know. The Sex Menu is, above all, an exercise in communication and mutual respect.
